This summer Orly airport in Paris, has introduced a new system to announce some flights gates. Apparently, this system consists of a figure projection onto a transparent plastic and also includes voice. So far this is just an experiment that the airport is doing.
The idea of setting up the experiment had to do with the desire by the airport to renovate.
Marketing agency that created it was L’Oeil du Chat, they plan to leave it there until the end of the year and, if successful, could even be used wider the next year 2012. However, while this new virtual agent surprised everyone this summer, the truth is that Paris is not the first airport to introduce these holograms, other airports like in London and Manchester did it before.
