September is a perfect date for interior and cultural tourism in Spain. Some of our recommended destinations during this month are: Segovia, Toledo and Avila.
Those looking for ancient arquitecture, medieval castles and swords will find in Toledo and Avila a must visit. September is the prefered month for Japanese tourists and you will see them trolling the streets with their camera.

If you are getting to Avila, do not forget to taste their famous steak. All of the destinations I personally recommend on this post will make you feel like being in the medieval times: Ancient castles and arquitectures, beautiful cathedrals and typical narrow streets.
