Spain remains the favorite destination for British tourists

Lots of sun, good hotels and good price. Spain continues to maintain its leadership as a preferred holiday destination for British tourists worldwide.

Balearic is the second destination that the British demand. As shown in the last survey in the UK, the British demand for Spanish destinations have registered an increase of 27% during the last quarter of 2011 versus the same quarter last year.

tourist beachTenerife and the Costa del Sol in Malaga were the favorite holiday destinations in the period, while the Balearic Islands, Andalusia and Valencia are the places chosen by this group mainly for a vacation next summer.

The effect of the ‘Arab Spring’

These communities occupy respectively the second, fourth and fifth among the five most popular tourist destinations in the UK market in the world. London occupies the first position and Florida in the United States the third.

The British travel to the euro area because of the strength of the pound “The ‘Arab Spring’ has influenced the decline of British interest destinations such as Morocco, Egypt and Turkey, and this has favored the Spanish destinations.
